Hello!

Thank you for your interest in the Calabasas High School Swim Program.

Coach Christopher Burke is a USA Swimming coach and American Swim Coaches Association recognized swim coach.

Previous to taking over at CHS in 2019, Coach Chris was the Aquatics Director for the SwimRight Academy (formerly the Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy) for over 10 years. His passion for swimming extended to overseeing every aspect from water safety to  stroke technique, as he helped shepherd countless students from early lessons to producing high school stand outs, Junior Olympic qualifiers and assisted college recruited athletes.

Long before he committed to coaching, Coach Chris began his competitive swim career in Pennsylvania with the Upper Mainline (Tredyffrin Township) YMCA and Mid-Atlantic AAU teams during the early 1970’s. After his family returned to Texas, he swam middle distance Freestyle in numerous AAU meets into the mid 80’s before heading off to college.

In tandem with the CHS program, Coach Chris is also the head coach and founder of West Valley Sea Dragons Swim Team, an age group swim club with several stand outs.

Coach Chris is committed to helping develop a fun and inspiring environment for your Coyote swimmers.
